After a relaxing breakfast and enjoyment of your hotel, visit Vinos Plata owned by Erick Plata and also Vinos Cruz , known for their small production wines and welcoming tasting rooms. It’s less crowded and offers personalized experiences. They are literaly right next to each other and they are long time friends. Pro tip: Take notes on your favorites for future bottles or their convenient canned wine, as well as their beautiful sparkling wine options! Also, first visit Cruz and then Plata, so you can stay for early dinner at Salazar all in the same location.

Wrap up your wine tasting day with an early dinner at Salazar, their neighborhood restaurant for modern Baja-Med cuisine with a sophisticated twist by chef Andres Salazar whom used to be sous chef for the famous Deckman’s, talk about local talent that flowered into his own. Stop at Adobe Food Truck, run by Pita and Leda for the last 10 or so years. They source their vegetables locally to provide an amazing casual outdoor experience, where the ambiance is celebrated by the singing of birds as you feast on their artisanal sandwich and tapas menu. Pro tip: The whole setting is outdoors so make sure to wear sunscreen and hats! Don’t forget to request a freshly made “agua fresca”.
Afternoon Wine & Candy Pairing at Concierto Enologico
Next, immerse yourself in a fun and unique experience at Concierto Enologico with a Mexican candy wine pairing. It’s a playful way to taste local wines in an undeground barrel cellar and learn to pair with the simplest of traditional mexican sweets. Tip: Allow extra time here—it’s both educational and delicious.
Evening relaxation
Afterwards, head to Bodegas Magoni for another glass of wine or flight from their great selection of wine tasting choices and cheese boards. The setting is underneath a centenial oak tree which provides a cool breeze under the hot summer sun of the Guadalupe Valley. Also, important to mention that it is owned by one of the most iconic wine makers of the region and of all Mexico: Don Camilo Magoni.

Morning at Anatolia – Wine, mezcal & Oyster Tastings.
Start your day with a visit to Anatolia, a women owned winery where you can indulge in a wine tasting paired with fresh oysters and other sea food options, they also produce Borroso mezcal and have one of the most overwhelming views of the wine country — a luxurious way to end your trip. Tip: As a small winery it’s always a good idea to call ahead.
Optional Vineyard Strolls or Last-minute Shopping
If time permits, squeeze in one last vineyard visit or some shopping for local crafts and wines. Some of our favorites are:
- Por un Beso – A fantastic collection of authentic mexican art such as textiles and jewelry single handedly selected by the owner.
- Alveolo casa de pan – Such an underrated stop with amazing sourdough bread options like conchas, cinnamon roles and savory sourdough options. There’s also coffee and breakfast available here by a locally renowned chef.
Departure
Check out of your hotel and say goodbye to Valle de Guadalupe, taking with you unforgettable memories and maybe some bottles to enjoy later.
